Worship Ministry

The GOYP Worship Team is a collective of passionate singers, musicians, and creatives who lead our church into powerful encounters with God through music, praise, and worship.

We believe worship is not just what we do. it’s who we are. Every note, every lyric, every moment on stage is an offering to God and an invitation for others to experience His presence.

Our team ministers during weekly Sunday services, special events, and signature worship gatherings like Worship 180 — a dynamic 180-minute session of nonstop praise, spontaneous worship, and prophetic flow. Whether you're a vocalist, instrumentalist, songwriter, or worship leader in training, there's a place for your gift to grow and make an impact.

GOYP Children

Ordinary children doing extraordinary things for God. GOYP Children’s Church believe that every child is planted by God with purpose, gifted for greatness and destined to flourish. Our ministry is built on the truth of Psalm 92: 12–15, which says: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God...”
We are growing a generation of children who are deeply rooted in God’s Word and full of life, joy and purpose.
To support spiritual growth at every stage, our children are grouped into the following classes:

Seed (1 month to Age 3) – Gentle introduction to God’s love through songs, sensory play and comforting care.
Seedling (Age 4 to 6) – Learning the basics of faith through stories, songs, memory verses and crafts.
Sprout (Age 7 to 9) – Discovering God’s Word, understanding character-building and applying Biblical truths to everyday life.
Sapling (Age 10 to 12) – Building strong roots in Scripture, exploring personal faith and learning to live boldly for Christ.

Prayer Ministry

The prayer ministry aims to promote a prayer lifestyle among members, including intercessory prayers, as the Bible encourages us to pray on behalf of others.

To support the GOYP in making prayer a lifestyle, members are encouraged to partake in:

  • Personal prayers. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. The Bible teaches that iron sharpens iron. In light of this we are implementing prayer partnerships where members can build each other up in prayer. James 5:16b (NKJV)
  • Corporate prayers.Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 (NKJV)

This will be promoted through periodic teachings, making prayer resources available, regular prayer meetings and prayer chains.

We understand the importance of prayer, so if you have any prayer request please feel free to submit them online or in person.

Discipleship

Discipleship is one of the three-fold mission of The Gathering of Young People to fulfil God’s assignments across generations - Empowered to Restore, Nurture and Disciple by the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and His power.

Discipleship classes are small-group bible teachings where believers undertake biblical studies to grow deeper in their walk with God. They provide comprehensive group studies for both new and old Christians, from the point of becoming a believer and continuing on a life-long journey of growing deeper in faith, and becoming more like Christ Jesus unto the day of perfection.

The following classes are available from May to December every year:

  • Nurture
  • Growing Deeper
  • Making Jesus Lord
  • Disciple-making

In addition, there are regular New Believer (First Steps) and Baptismal classes offered throughout the year.
